I am a Speech-Language Pathologist, who is a member of the Ordre des orthophonistes et

audiologistes du Québec (OOAQ). I completed my Masters Degree at McGill University where I

developed a particular interest in neurologically-based speech and language disorders. As a

graduate student, I gained clinical experience with diverse populations, ranging from children in

private clinics and the school setting to working with adults in the hospital setting.

In addition to working in private practice, I also worked  at the Montreal Neurological Institute. My experience in this setting has allowed me to increase my knowledge of working with stroke and brain tumour patients, as well those with neurological conditions which can impact speech, language and communication abilities (i.e. Myasthenia Gravis, ALS, Parkinson’s Disease, Guillain-Barré Syndrome). My passion lies in working with Functional Speech and Language Disorders, which often require a unique therapeutic approach given their etiology, as well as with oromyofunctional disorders.

 

I believe that the ability to communicate with one another, in a variety of modalities, is at the core of human connection. My hope is that we can work together to not only achieve your goals, but also to foster that connection to the best of our abilities. I work with both adults and children and whether difficulties lie in speech disorders, fluency/stuttering, swallowing, language, cognitive-communication or voice disorders, I hope to give individuals and families the support that they need to thrive.
